  • @montessoriinreallife That sunshine though! ☀️ Today I am grateful for the lightness and brightness of the sun, this fresh shelf, and my babes. 🌈 Though I am seeing and feeling the weight and darkness of the world right now, the children see and feel the opposite. What a beautiful gift. ✨

To celebrate this sunshine and the start of Spring, we are following the theme of The Hungry Caterpillar this week. 🐛 Swipe to see a few of the activities I set out on D's shelf along this theme. Feed the caterpillar counting, Matching fruits and veggies by touch only (stereognostic bag), and Caterpillar lacing cards! 🍎 Check out my stories this afternoon for a few more details and links! You can also always check out my Amazon storefront, linked in bio. 🦋

Though I typically only rotate a few materials every couple of weeks, being homebound has meant weekly rotation of most materials on D's shelf. Often the materials on this shelf are the ones she likes to do with me. This (and S' play area) is where we sit together and play after breakfast. When she's playing independently, she typically chooses her open-ended toys, pretend play, art, or practical life activities. With long days at home comes lots of play! 🌈
